Milan Jovanovic not worried about swapping number 10 shirt with Joe Cole – as number 14 is his favourite number
Jovanovic hopes he has already made a good enough impression to be considered for selection in Thursday's Europa League third qualifying round first leg tie against FK Rabotnicki in Macedonia.
And although enthused by the welcome and support given by his new club and team-mates since arriving earlier this month, the attacker admits his game will improve further once his family join him on Merseyside.
“I have a wife and two boys,” said Jovanovic. “Lazar is the oldest and he is three-and-a-half, Dusan is his younger brother and he is two-and-a-half.
“I expect they will be with me in Liverpool very soon. We have got to choose a house but it will really help when I see them.
“Saying that, everybody has been really kind with me so far and make me feel very welcome.
“There is a good atmosphere and a good feeling at the club.
“I am really grateful to everyone for helping me feel so welcome. The coach, the players, everybody has been brilliant.
“When I get more practice and I am fitter, I am confident that I can help that team.
“I have never doubted my ability.”
