LIVERPOOL Youth cruised into the quarter-finals of the FA Youth Cup last night as they crushed Southend United 9-0 at Anfield.

Five stunning goals from Raheem Sterling, a penalty from captain Conor Coady and further efforts from Stephen Sama, Adam Morgan and Toni Silva comfortably put Liverpool into the last eight for a fourth time in the last seven seasons.

Liverpool under-18s will return to FA Premier Academy League action against Stoke City this Saturday at the Kirkby Academy (kick-off 11am).
