Pepe Reina 300
PEPE Reina has revealed his pride at his Liverpool achievements, as he prepares to reach another Anfield landmark this week.
The Spanish goalkeeper is set to make his 300th Reds appearance in the Europa League clash with Sporting Braga on Thursday, and says is "proud" and "lucky" to have become such a key part of the club since his move to Merseyside from Villarreal in 2005.
"No, I didn't really think it would happen," said Reina.
"It was difficult to think because you are moving to a new country and you don't know how you are going to settle down or what the people are going to think about you.
"I am really proud of this amount of games and it's not something I imagined.
"I trust myself and I knew I could be a good 'keeper here but to play 300 games - I think I've been really lucky and I'm really proud to have played in each one."
The 28-year-old is no stranger to breaking Anfield records.
