DANIEL PACHECO has praised Liverpool supporters, after helping Norwich City secure Premier League football.

The young Spaniard was part of the Canaries side which secured promotion from the Championship, at the first attempt, on Monday night, and says he has been stunned by the messages of support he has received from Reds fans since.

“I've had really good support on the internet on Twitter and on the phone,” said Pacheco, “And I need to say thank-you to every Liverpool fan who has been following me during my loan at Norwich.

“As always, they've been looking after me and giving me their support and confidence, saying they want me back at Liverpool.

“So I just have to say thank-you to every fan at Liverpool for the support they've given me.”

Pacheco joined Paul Lambert’s high-fliers on loan back in March, and has made five appearances for the East Anglians, who secured their place in the Premier League with a 1-0 win at Portsmouth on Monday.

And the 20-year-old says he is looking forward to celebrating that achievement in front of a packed Carrow Road, as Norwich play host to Coventry in their final game of the season on Saturday.

“It was a nice experience for me to be celebrating on the pitch with the Norwich fans, players and staff,” he added. “They've done brilliantly all season and really deserved to get what they did.

“It was amazing to join in the special celebrations and now I am looking forward to next week and being in front of the crowd in Norwich and celebrate with them.”
