l LIVERPOOL looked tired in the second half of the game against Sunderland last weekend and I just hope all the travelling they did in pre-season hasn’t affected them.
The Reds clocked up a lot of miles playing games in China, Malaysia, Turkey and Norway.
I know we’ve got a lot of fans all around the world and that playing games abroad can be very beneficial financially.
But I do think the time would have been better spent at Melwood and playing matches locally.
In my day we used to play a couple of friendlies in Spain or Germany and then the other games would be closer to home against second and third division sides. It was a good way to prepare.
