KENNY DALGLISH has backed Luis Suarez to keep delivering the unexpected – and believes the Liverpool FC striker has left a psychological scar on Manchester United.
The bitter North West rivals cross swords once again this afternoon with their blockbusting Premier League clash at Anfield.
Liverpool are aiming for a fourth successive home win over the Champions League final losers, having comprehensively dismantled United in last season’s corresponding fixture in March.
It was the day Suarez emphatically announced his arrival to English football with a mesmeric performance, the highlight of which was a barnstorming run beyond three defenders that created the first of Dirk Kuyt’s three goals.
And Dalglish believes the impact of the diminutive Uruguayan will play on the minds of the visitors.
“I don't know how he did it,” said the Liverpool manager. “It's not the first time he's done that, maybe it was in terms of how many he went past, but each of the individual things he used to get past people he had done before.
“He just collated them in the one run past three or four.
“But he has got other things to his bow apart from that. For me, Luis has made a fantastic contribution.
“Has he left a psychological scar on United? That is up to them. I don't know how they think but I'm sure they will know what he did to them last season.
“They know what he is capable of and that is their problem.”
