JAY SPEARING and Nathan Eccleston both scored twice as Liverpool FC reserves beat Sunderland 5-1 at the Kirkby Academy.
Sebastian Coates was also on target for Rodolfo Borrell’s side, as they recorded their fourth game unbeaten with a resounding success.
Uruguayan Coates got them up and running, turning in Suso’s cross after just two minutes.
Spearing grabbed the first of his two strikes from 25 yards, and added a third right on half-time.
Eccleston, who returned from a loan spell at Rochdale earlier this week, emerged from the bench to score with two late strikes, with Ryan Noble pulling one back.
