BRENDAN RODGERS believes he will return to Swansea City a better manager tomorrow after the experiences of his first six months at Liverpool FC.
The Reds boss endured a tough start to his Anfield reign but heads for the Liberty Stadium looking to extend a seven-game unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Rodgers enjoyed a hugely successful two years in South Wales but says he hasn’t looked back since he was appointed as Kenny Dalglish’s successor.
“These opening few months here have been fantastic,” he said.
“They haven’t gone smoothly or swimmingly, but there is no doubt that the experience to work at one of the biggest clubs in world football and to deal with the pressures of that, it makes you a better manager for sure.
“The more experiences I get at this level the better I will become and more importantly the better Liverpool will become.
“Swansea is a special part of the world and a club that was very good to me. I am really looking forward to going back on the back of our away performances and the last seven games.
“It is a club I will always have the utmost respect for but we are there to win the game and I am paid to get us points. I am going there to do a job for Liverpool and that is all that matters really.”
