Pacesetters Red Rum show their pedigree
IN the Premier Division, its three out of three for Red Rum as they set the early season pace.
Goals from James Conley, Gary Smith and Joey Garrity ensuring a 3-1 home win over South Sefton Boro who replied through Philip McCaughlin.
Second-placed East Villa, who after a little wobble last week, have found their way again registering a 3-1 win at Old Xaverians. Lee Pegram, Shaun Tuck and John Cavanagh all on the scoresheet for Villa, replied to by Paul Cross for Xavs.
Champions Waterloo Dock smashed four past South Liverpool without reply. Tony Denson with a pair and Lee Battle and John Bruns adding to the total.
Birchfield move to a respectable position after a 3-1 win at BRNESC, John Rowe, Lee Dickinson and Luke Brookfield all on the score sheet for Birchfield while Danny Kearney scored again for BRNESC.
Speke move into the top five after a 4-1 demolition of Ford Motors with league’s leading goalscorer Graham Molloy netting all four.
St Aloysius beat Collegiate OB 3-0 as OB still search for their first points of the campaign.
St Dominics made easy work of Roma beating them 4-1, to go fifth. James Croxton with a hat-trick and Liam Kettle, replied to by a Dave Cooney penalty.
In Division One, pace setters are Alder who have maximum points after three games, and sneaked past Stoneycroft, with a Francis Jeffers goal, to keep them five points clear of the chasing pack.
Leading the chasing pack are Page Celtic, who enjoyed a 4-3 win at Kingsley United. Kevin Hodgson with a pair, Arron Branwell and Kevin Fisher on the scoresheet for Celtic.
Kingsley’s scorers were Ivan Jenkins (2) and Nick Raymond.
Warbreck put paid to an excellent start by Copperas Hill by beating them 4-3, Mark Pruden amongst the goals for Warbreck, whilst Gary Highams’ pair could not Dave Copperas Hill from defeat.
REMYCA and Aigburth PH shared the points in a 2-2 draw, Danny manning with the two goals for REMYCA whilst John Lally got both APH goals.
