BURSCOUGH took their unbeaten run to five games on Saturday, the Linnets’ Blue Square North victory showing contrasts of football, as they condemned Hucknall Town to a sixth consecutive defeat.
In the 11th minute, some dreadful defending that was fully exploited by Neil Robinson, defender Chris Timons and keeper Saul Deeney tangled over an innocuous ball, Robinson read the situation and found the net with the loose ball from an acute angle.
Hucknall equalised in the 28th minute as Bobby Wilson headed home after a poor clearance from McMillan.
Burscough regained the lead when the ball dropped into space 10 yards from goal and Robbie Booth blasted into the bottom corner.
