Non-League: Chorley 0, Skelmersdale 0

THE goalless scoreline did not do this game justice as it was a highly entertaining game and a great advert for UniBond League football.

In an evenly contested first half Chorley edged it for opportunities but Skelmersdale’s Ian Lowe made two terrific saves thwarting Nolan then Stanford.

The second half was all United but there were numerous chances to open the scoring.

Tony Evans went one-on-one with the keeper when McConville played the ball through but Priestley blocked his shot.

McConville had his own shot cleared off the line minutes later but Evans came closest as he hit the bar in the closing stages.
