Non-League: Northwich Victoria’s woes go on

VICS made it 15 games without a win with this latest reverse at Nailsworth against the side going great guns in the top half of the Blue Square Premier.
Forest Green went ahead through the in-form Stuart Fleetwood after nine minutes and Mark Beesley doubled their lead shortly after the interval.
Northwich got temporarily back into the game with the aid of an own goal by defender Ray Giles on the hour, but the Gloucestershire side overwhelmed Northwich with two further goals.
They came from Fleetwood after 72 minutes and Jonathan Smith 90 seconds later.
Their defeat would have been even heavier but for the many plucky saves made by Northwich goalkeeper Ben Connett.
