Evans at double as Skem win in style
SKEM completed a comprehensive UniBond First Division South victory and kept their 10th clean sheet in all competitions in the process.
The first goal came in the 12th minute when Tony Evans headed home at the far post courtesy of a precise cross by John Cass.
It was virtually one-way traffic but United had to wait until the 49th minute to double their lead.
Kevin Leadbetter played a lovely side-footed ball to Evans at the near post, and he poked the ball between keeper and post.
Leadbetter, making his return to the club after being signed in a transfer exchange deal which saw Craig Noone go the other way to neighbours Burscough, made his second assist of the afternoon to round off a great debut.
It was a neat ball over the Wakefield defence to Cass, who brought the ball down before cutting inside and drilling the ball in at the near post.
