CABLES players and supporters received a much-needed confidence boost with this UniBond Premier League success.
Only three minutes had in, Karl Bell received the ball from a corner and found Thomas Moore, whose header left Worksop motionless.
Moments later Worksop appealed strongly for a goal but the officials deemed the ball had not crossed the Prescot line.
Ryan Wade then produced an individual goal of the season contender as he beat four players to shoot past Hernandez.
Worksop captain Steve Hawes rifled a shot that hit the net via the post to half the arrears two minutes from the break.
But Prescot’s two-goal advantage was restored on 52 minutes when Connolly’s superb pass enabled Sam McNutt to score.
Both sides produced more chances to score without success and it was late in the game when Price sealed the win with his first goal since August.
PRESCOT CABLES: Mottram, Smith, Freeman, McEwen, Bell, Moore, Wade, Taylor, Connolly, Price, McNutt Subs: Stannard (for Wade), Byers (for Connolly), Molyneux (for Taylor).
