WARRINGTON Town travelled to Carlton in the UniBond League First Division looking for three points after a tough run of games.
They handed debuts to winger Scott Williams and striker Thomas Lamb.
Within three minutes the visitors took the lead when Williams met a Francis Smith free-kick at the far post to slot beyond goalkeeper Alessandro Barcherini. Two minutes later, the Wire went two up, when, Lamb met Williams’ corner to head into the far corner.
On 28 minutes, the home side got the goal they were searching for when striker Phil Bignall saw his effort deflected into the net by defender Matt Elder. Within a minute the home side were level, when Elder headed a cross into his own net.
Two minutes later the home side were ahead when Bignall converted from the spot after a foul by Danny Toone.
Town nearly grabbed an equaliser when Everett drove narrowly over the bar, but they went in at the break with their good start undone by the home team’s fightback.
However the visitors started the second half brightly and were level on 56 minutes when captain Tom Spearitt headed home his first goal.
Six minutes later the game was turned on its head again when substitute Connor Taylor scored his third goal in three games with a cool finish. Town moved further ahead when striker Karl Rendell saw his effort deflected into the net for his first goal for the club.
Deep into injury time Town completed the scoring when substitute Phil Mitchell’s blocked effort was followed up by Karl Brown, who slotted home his first goal for the club.
