WARRINGTON had to settle for a draw after missing a penalty that would have put them two up at the break in this UniBond First Division South game.
Town took the lead on 10 minutes after Scott Williams made it to the byline.
His cross found Thomas Lamb, who slid the ball past Quorn’s keeper Daniel Haystead.
Quorn had a number of chances to level the scores, but Town blew the chance to extend the lead when Lamb’s penalty was saved by Heystead after Carl Rendell was brought down in the box just before half-time.
In the opening minutes of the second half Nigel Julion came close for Quorn while Rendell missed a good chance for Town before Lamb’s lob over Heystead grazed the crossbar.
Then Quorn’s equaliser came on 70 minutes, Liam Hearn sliding the ball past home keeper Shane McWeeney for a share of the points.
TOWN: McWeeney, Everett, Fitzsimmons, Spearritt, Crane, Brown (Daniels70) Taylor (P Mitchell 63), Owens, Rendell, Lamb, Williams. Sub: Toone.
