UNITED produced a cup double over local rivals Marine to march into the semi-finals of the UniBond Challenge Cup.
Paul Prescott’s side footed pass found Kevin Leadbetter, who skipped through a couple of challenges before unleashing a low shot into the bottom right hand corner of the net.
Cumiskey looked lively throughout as Marine’s main threat and had an effort in the 35th minute when he turned and lost his marker just inside the box, but his shot sailed wide.
Kevin Leadbetter was equally as threatening at the other end. Just before the break he shook off the challenge of two players before finding Akrigg, but clean in on goal the latter blazed his shot over.
Leadbetter’s 20-yards free-kick was palmed wide just after the break, and Donnelly’s shot inched agonisingly wide.
United were denied twice when both Prescott and Leadbetter slotted home as both efforts were offside.
They eventually conceded the goal that killed the game off in injury time. Georgie Donnelly rounded the keeper to score his 19th goal of the season.
