FOLLOWING the fixture’s postponement due to a frozen ground on February 16, Northwich Victoria are to meet Weymouth at the Marston’s Arena in a vital re-arranged Blue Square Premier League fixture on Tuesday, March 18.
Vics’ Setanta Shield northern area home semi-final against Kidderminster Harriers or Rushden & Diamonds will be played a week earlier, on Tuesday, March 11.
There has been good news for manager Dino Maamria with striker Jonny Allan resuming full-time training following his double leg fracture 13 months ago.
Crowd favourite Allan, 31, said: “It’s been a long haul and there have been times when I have despaired, but I’m feeling good now and should soon be fighting to get myold place back.”
Meanwhile, Northwich are considering introducing free admission for under-16s following recent disappointing home match attendances.
A similar scheme for Vics’ game at Woking on Saturday boosted the crowd by an estimated 750 to 2,672.
