MARINE returned back to winning ways with a well deserved victory over lowly Lincoln United in this UniBond Premier League clash at the Arriva Stadium.
Marine took the lead on 31 minutes when Eddie Hussin’s free-kick was caught in the wind and floated over the stranded Lee Walker. A minute later Shaun Tuck burst through Lincoln’s defence to rifle the ball past Walker.
Right on half-time Lee Parle was dismissed for foul play. Lincoln made the most of their numerical advantage when Leon Wainman’s 52nd-minute run ended with a cool finish past Andy Ralph.
But in the 70th minute Brookfield and Paul Woolcott combined well leaving Peter Cumiskey to score past a static Walker.
