Spalding United 0, Warrington Town 2

WARRINGTON Town won 2-0 at Spalding United in the UniBond League Division One South.

They began brightly, with Karl Brown having an early shot on target.

Resolute defending ensured Argentinian goalkeeper Diego Bassanini, was a virtual spectator early in the game.

Spearitt put Town ahead, meeting Kevin Towey’s corner, at the far post, with a bullet header.

Warrington should have wrapped the game up in the 87th minute, when midfielder Nicky Prescott blasted wide of the target. They did wrap the game up in injury time, when the unmarked Lynch finished smartly from 12 yards after good work by Karl Rendell.
