HALIFAX Town have had 10 points deducted after entering administration, meaning they join Northwich in the Blue Square Premier relegation battle.
Before a round of fixtures tonight, Halifax had 33 points, followed by Farsley also 33, Altrincham 32, Weymouth 31, Northwich Victoria 25, Stafford 19 and wooden spoonists Droylsden 13. The bottom four go down.
In a key game at Marston’s Arena tonight against Weymouth, Northwich will be aiming to continue an improved run which has earned them 10 points out of the last 12.
Former Chester striker Lee Steele, now with 10 goals, has been passed fit after being withdrawn with a hamstring twinge late in Saturday’s 2-0 home win against Crawley. Midfielder Michael Carr is a doubt with a toe injury and defender Nat Kerr completes a two match ban.
Blue Square Premier club Altrincham will meet Nantwich Town of the Unibond League First Division South in the Cheshire Senior Cup final on Witton Albion’s ground on Tuesday, April 1st (7.45pm).
