SOUTHPORT picked up just one Blue Square North point against a gritty Workington side who will consider themselves unlucky not getting all three.
The Cumbrian team took a deserved lead as Jonny Wright’s shot from just inside the box caught the foot of Kevin Lee with the ball diverting over the line before Craig Johnston arrived to ensure it hit the back of the net.
The home side produced a few moments of domination and it was one such run from Paul Barratt that led to the equaliser.
Barratt crossed from the left wing where Tony Gray headed through a crowd of players and into the net.
