Byrom keeps Vics’ hopes up

A FINE equalising goal by midfielder Joel Byrom after 88 minutes earned Vics another vital point in their battle for Blue Square Premier League safety.

The high-flying Cambridge side took the lead after 68 minutes through Antonio Murray but Northwich battled back well and deserved their late leveller.

Moving up to 21st place in the table they have now gone nine games without defeat since February 9 and before the game learned that manager Dino Maamria had won the League’s manager of the month award for March.
