Manager backed

CHESTER CITY owner Stephen Vaughan gave a ringing endorsement to his manager Simon Davies last night.

Davies was appointed until the end of the season, following the departure of Bobby Williamson last month and Vaughan said: “Simon has adapted extremely well to his new position, he has some exciting new ideas and he has managed to create a bond between the players which wasn’t evident earlier this year.”

Meanwhile, City hold their AGM at the Deva Stadium this evening, 7pm start.
