Fans are raising funds for hospice

FOOTBALL supporters’ teams will come together on Bank Holiday Monday to play a tournament in Birkenhead raising money for St John’s Hospice.
The eight-team Merseyside Supporters Tournament, organised by Tranmere fans’ team FC Rearguard, is being held at Shaftesbury Youth Club adjacent to Prenton Park and will see the teams compete in 11-a-side matches throughout the day, each lasting 30 minutes.
The tournament kicks-off at 9am with the finals set to end around 3.30pm, spectators are welcome and there will be collection boxes in the reception on the day for donations to be made.
