THE Red Lion Cup Final lived up to its billing as a cracker.
Oakwood and the Jolly Tanner were level 2-2 at half-time, before Jolly Tanner had two men dismissed at 4-2 down leaving Oakwood to wrap the game up 8-2.
On target for Oakwood were Aaron McGuire (4) Nathan O’Gorman (2) and one goal apiece for Andrew Stokes, Paul Unsworth.
In the Premier Division goals from Dave Taylor and Ste Crotty ensured all three points for Monk Sports against Moorfield Callands.
Cheshire Hawthorne went to Real Gate and came away with all three points after a 6-2 win, scoring for Hawthorne were ex-Greenalls striker Robbie Hanley (5) and Dave Fisher.
In Division 1, Grange Red Lion outgunned bottom side Wilkies with a 4-0 result; Mike Shone, Ste Edwards, Carl Greerwood and Mike Bradshaw were the scorers.
Despite goals from Martin Ridd and Danny McKenzie, P&S Eagle lost out to Hale FC by 3-2.
