NORTHWICH Victoria put an end to a run of four successive defeats in the Blue Square Premier League with a goalless draw against Forest Green.
It was a first clean sheet of the season for the home side against a team reduced to 10 men after midfielder Lee Fowler had been dismissed on the half-hour mark for elbowing Danny Williams.
Darryn Stamp came closest to breaking the deadlock shortly after the break as Forest Green mounted a rearguard action, but his close-range effort was too high.
Visiting keeper Ryan Robinson was alert to twice deny Jonny Allan, while the visitors might have snatched an unlikely win had it not been for Simon Grand's intervention to foil Les Afful.
Northwich are now one place above Lewes at the foot of the table.
