Reduced prices for fans in the services
TRANMERE ROVERS are joining forces with the Royal British Legion to help raise funds for the 2008 Poppy Appeal by putting on a special offer in the build-up to Remembrance Day at the home game against Crewe tomorrow night.
As part of the partnership, admission for servicemen and women and ex-servicemen has been reduced. Adults will receive a £5 discount, with Seniors and Young Persons paying half-price. Current servicemen and women should present their ID cards at the club shop or ticket office to claim their discounted ticket.
Ex-servicemen and women should present their discharge papers for their discounted ticket.
A ground collection will be held at the game by the Territorial Army and Birkenhead sixth form college students and Ellesmere Port Sea Cadet Corps will provide pre-match and half-time entertainment.
Meanwhile, Tranmere are again reducing prices for their Johnstone’s Paint Trophy northern quarter-final against Morecambe at Prenton Park on Tuesday November 4. Admission for adults will be £9, seniors and young persons £5 and juniors £3.
