BOOTLE booked their place in the third round of the FA Vase with a 5-3 home victory over Oldham Town.
Andy Fowler was on target twice, with Shaun Coulton, Anthony Hickey and Paul Tosney also on target.
Formby’s Vase hopes were ended as they crashed 4-0 at home to Dunston Federation Brewery. Runcorn Linnets drew 1-1 at Alsager Town and will replay at Witton Albion on Wednesday.
Lee Jones gave the home side the lead with a 60th minute penalty.
But Rob Whyte brought the Linnets level 13 minutes later.
Ashton Athletic drew 2-2 at home with Winsford United in the Vodkat Premier Division, Steve Bennett and Kevin Kynston the scorers, but St Helens Town’s game at Colne was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch.
First Division leaders AFC Liverpool were beaten 2-1 at Leek CSOB, Mark Bloxham grabbing a late consolation goal, while bottom club Ashton Town lost 5-2 at Rochdale Town, Paul Mooney and Gary Doyle their scorers.
