Wilson signs in

TRANMERE moved to strengthen their depleted ranks by signing midfielder Mark Wilson on a month’s loan from Doncaster Rovers.

The 29-year-old, a former Manchester United trainee, is lined up to make his Rovers debut in the League One encounter at Yeovil tomorrow.

Moore said: “Mark is a quality midfielder, a good passer who can play either the holding or attacking role. He played more than 30 league games last season in a side that got promoted and I’m pleased to have him.”

Tranmere will be without the suspended Antony Kay, Ryan Shotton and Steve Jennings at Huish Park. Centre-back Ian Goodison is likely to be absent due to personal commitments in Jamaica and a further four players – Ben Chorley, Ed Sonko, Gareth Edds and Ian Moore – are doubtful after missing training yesterday with flu symptoms.
