GEORGE DONNELLY struck his 11th goal in eight games to steer Skelmersdale United into the first round proper of the FA Trophy.

The 20-year-old striker, who signed a new contract with Skem last month, grabbed the 73rd-minute goal that earned his side a 1-0 third qualifying round victory at Glapwell.

It was his 16th goal of the season and gave UniBond League First Division North Skem a seventh win in their last eight games.
