A YOUNG Tranmere reserves side suffered a fourth consecutive defeat in the totesport.com league West Division at the hands of Morecambe.
A mistake by trialist goalkeeper Martin Edwards gave the visitors the only goal of the game in the first half.
Rovers, with five professionals in their line-up, made hard work of creating scoring opportunities and came closest through Craig Curran late in the game.
Tranmere Reserves coach Shaun Garnett said: “It was disappointing we did not create any clear-cut chances in spite of having plenty of possession.”
TRANMERE RESERVES: Edwards, Richardson, Holmes, Waterfall, Corrigan, Macauley, Denison, Fraughan, Wilson, Curran, Gornell.
