TRANMERE Rovers is helping this year’s Poppy Appeal.
For the third year running, the club will hold a collection at tomorrow’s game.
Members of the Birkenhead Royal British Legion, the TA and students and teachers from Birkenhead 6th Form College will be collecting before the match and at half-time.
Julie Dove, co-ordinator of The Poppy Appeal in Cheshire and Wirral, said: “We are very fortunate to have such a wonderfully supportive club in our county.
“This year’s Poppy Appeal is all about helping the Afghan and Iraq generation of the British Armed Forces and their families.”
Tranmere chief executive Mick Horton, said: “I would urge our fans to give generously.”
The game against Brighton and Hove Albion kicks off at 3pm.
