Stannard carries out a demolition JOB in the LCFA Premier Cup

ST SEBASTIAN’S won 3-2 at Lion Athletic in the LCFA Premier Cup while Fazakerley Players cruised past Windmill 3-1.

Kempston St Gym were 3-1 up at half-time at Oak Tree Jacks, who came back in the second half, but Mark Styles (2), Dean Kenny, Craig Gallagher, Jamie McNeills and Craig Atkinson ensured a 6-4 passage to the next round.

In the all LBH clash JOB surprisingly suffered a 5-2 loss to Thirly, who had a John Stannard hat-trick and goals from Kevin Wright.

Nicosia lost 3-1 against Jericho Lane and The Britannia proved too strong in beating Netherley Wood Lane Legion by the same score.

In the LCFA Junior Cup Mick Harris gave Pavilion Athletic the game 1-0 against GRA and in another all LBH clash Aintree Village scored a fine 4-0 victory at Rice Lane. Athletic Clubmoor had Williams, Armstrong, Speed and Graves hitting the net in the 4-0 win at Woodwards and the King Harry, thanks in the main to a Chris Allan hat-trick, got the better of a young Sandstone team to win 6 2.

Andrews, Gamble and Felton were the main reason Regent beat Northend 3-2 and Quarry Green needed extra time before goals from Chris Lawrence (2) Lewis Stubbs and Chris Cruikshank pushed them to a 4-2 win over The Nethy.

The bad news was defeats for English Rose, 3-2 to Oasis Café, Belfry going down to penalties at Scarisbrick Hotel 4-1 and Premier Electrics (Rimmer and Kneildly) losing 3-2 at Bar Du Fay.
