ENTERTAINING the UniBond League Premier Division leaders, Burscough looked the better team for long periods but had a point snatched away in the last moments of four minutes added time.
The game came to life in the 41st minute when Ian Bennett put the visitors ahead, looping a free header over keeper Kyle Clancy following an intended interception by Ashton Bayliss.
The Linnets finally equalised in the 68th minute as James McCulloch entered the area late and hit a first-time shot low into the net. Gareth Richards headed in a 90th-minute winner for Ashton and Burscough barely had time to kick off again.
