In the Wirral Junior Cup Millcroft pleased their new backers SM Tool Hire with a fine 4-1 victory over the Old Wirral Hundred. Dave McKeown was at the double and further strikes from Mike Hulligan and Dave Rogers completed the scoreline.

Halfway Prenton kept a clean sheet and scored two via Mills and Dures as they defeated Sea Dog 2-0 and Shaftsbury C took MacKenzies all the way to penalties thanks to an Alan Cross goal but couldn’t keep their nerve, losing 4-3 on the dreaded spot-kicks.

In Division One Lions roared their way to three points against Bushell Athletic.

Chris Nock scored the only goal of the game as Beehive beat Rangers Breaks 1-0 in Division Two.

In Division Three Pollards Inn led 1-0 via a Nathan Alty goal on 80 minutes. With seconds to go however, a penalty was awarded to Primrose Celtic. Up stepped John Naylor who rifled home for a share of the spoils.
