Liverpool Business Houses: King Harry usurped as St Teresa’s go marching in

THE weather put off some LBH Cup games, which will change league fixtures for next week.

But five of the eight games scheduled were played in the LBH Senior Cup and St Teresa’s put one over on The King Harry as Darryl Adams, Dave Blanchard and Ryan Starkey sealed a 3-1 win.

A Stephen Higgins goal set JOB on their way as Mark Dunn and Ian Parr strikes saw them home to a 3-0 win against BRNESC and Obiter staged a great comeback which just failed to catch Mossley Hill, who had Woodall (2), Deveraux and Shimmin to see them through to a 4-3 victory.

GRA stopped Regent’s run of good form as James Hartley (2), Ash Bode, Mick Ronan, Paul Keenan and Andrew Newcombe gave them an emphatic 6-2 passage into the next round and Belfry did the same to The Hyper as double strikes from Grundy and Wignall along with goals from Harricke and German took them through 6-2.

In the LBH Junior Cup Sefton Arms had hat-tricks from Craig Kelly and Phil Davies to help see off Arriva Bus 9-2 and Woodstreet had Jimmy Grant (4, Mark Sutton (2) and Anders Mjaaland (2) on target as they beat STL 9–4. W Carroll Roofing were beaten on penalties by Pear Tree while Lute Oakfield had Paul Cavanagh (2) and Colin Davies on target but Heart of the City had a Kev Hoskinson hat-trick to thank for their passage through after extra time.

There were two league games and in the Premier it was defeat for Nicosia as Fazakerley Players’ Billy O’Callaghan hitting four and Ged King making the nap hand as they beat Nicosia 5-2.

In Division One Pavilion Athletic hit Rice Lane for six as McDonald, Roberts and Carey and a Darren Jones treble gave them a 6-3 win.
