TWO late goals ensured Corby moved up to fifth place in the Blue Square North table after an epic battle against a battling Vauxhall side.
The Motormen will feel aggrieved not to get anything out of this entertaining encounter as they looked the better side in the first-half.
They took the lead on eight minutes when Chris Noone crossed from the right and Josh Wilson’s splendid header from eight yards out looped over Corby keeper Mark Osburn.
Corby hit back on 20 minutes, however, when Leon Mettam headed in.
After the interval, Corby looked a different side and started to get a foothold of proceedings and it was therefore no surprise when they took the lead on the hour.
Striker Jack Defty got the goal with a close range header.
The home side weren’t finished, though, and 10 minutes later, a poor clearance from Osburn fell kindly at the feet of Vauxhall striker Karl Noon who cleverly lobbed the keeper from 20 yards.
But just when the match seemed to be heading for a draw, Corby reclaimed the lead with eight minutes remaining when a left wing cross found the feet of midfielder Steve Towers who rifled home.
Then, with four minutes remaining, Corby wrapped it up when Defty got his second of the game, poking home Jason Lee’s right wing cross.
