Waterloo Dock sunk by Aigburth who close the gap at the summit

CHAMPIONS Waterloo Dock were undone again by jinx side Aigburth PH who, after beating them 4-2 in the LCFA semi-final two weeks ago, went on to better it with a 5-2 win at the Dockers Club.

The result leaves APH just seven points behind the Dock with two games in hand.

Scorers for APH were Douglas, Tsang with his first for the club, Caldwell, Corner and Kelly, whilst Joe Roberts scored his 12th of the season (a penalty) for the Dock before Tony Denson netted late on.

Second-placed Old Xaverians drew 2-2 with fourth-placed St Aloysius, the Xavs scoring in the dying seconds of the game to level the score. Brady and Driscoll struck for St Aloys whilst Carl Gargan scored both goals for the Xavs and moves on to 18 for the season.

Ford Motors smashed Kingsley United 9-2 in one of their heaviest defeats of the season, to go third; Liam Pearson hit a brace to move to 11 goals for the season and Andy Morris also scored to move his personal tally on to 10.

South Liverpool and South Sefton Borough played out a 0-0 draw.

Cheshire Lines are now looking over their shoulders as they lost narrowly, 2-1 to Lucas Sports to stay in the bottom three relegation positions.

Pearson and Barry scored for Lucas, replied to by Gerard Moore for Cheshire.

In Division One, leaders Essemmay OB are now eight points clear of the chasing pack after a 4-2 away win at BRNESC. Parle struck a brace to send Essemmay on their way, while Wilson notched up his 17th of the season for BRNESC.

Stoneycroft stay second despite a 7-1 mauling at the hands of Halewood Town, for whom Stuart Cornfoot grabbed a hat-trick and there were doubles for Coyne and Mee.

Mackets stay third after a 1-1 draw with Old Holts, who grabbed a vital point after some poor form of late.

Carl Lam struck for Mackets and Ryan Edwards for Holts.

Roma blew their chance to move up to pressurise the top two with a 2-0 loss at Copperas Hill, Alan Shields with a brace.

Leyfield and Angus shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Phil Glennon scored for Leyfield.

In Division Two North, Croxteth remain top after a 3-2 win over Pinewoods.

In Division Two South, leaders South Liverpool Res were humbled 1-0 by a Mohammad Hadrani strike for Unity, who move off the bottom.
