Les Parry has today signed a new one year contract as Manager of Tranmere Rovers.
Just weeks after keeping the Club in League One and receiving his PhD in Injuries in Professional Football and the Effects of De-Training from Liverpool John Moores University, Les agreed the deal that will see him continue to take charge of the first team at Prenton Park.
Les, who has been the Club’s Physiotherapist since 1993, took over as Manager in October 2009 with the Club third from bottom of the division on just seven points from 11 games.
However, 12 league wins and eight draws followed in the rest of the season with the Club finishing in 19 th place.
He was named as League One Manager of the Year in the Daily Mail’s ‘All the Fizz’ column.
Chairman Peter Johnson said: “Les has transferred his undoubted skills as a physiotherapist into management extremely well.
"He has taken to the role with the level of dedication and commitment that has been typical of his work during his career at the Club.
