Tranmere Rovers will reject ‘irreplaceable’ Ian Thomas-Moore’s transfer request insists manager Les Parry

TRANMERE manager Les Parry last night insisted Rovers will reject Ian Thomas-Moore’s transfer request because the striker is irreplaceable.

The skipper shone in the 1-0 Carling Cup first round win at Walsall despite demanding to leave on Monday after reported interest from Rotherham, managed by his dad Ronnie.

The board held a meeting to discuss the hitman’s situation before the game and while Parry is still in the dark over the decision he says Rovers will not let Thomas-Moore leave.

“Whatever happens, it will be turned down,” said Parry, who left the meeting early to travel to Walsall.

“Whether we discuss another contract is the talking point but we’re never going to accept a transfer request from someone like Ian Thomas-Moore. We can’t replace him.”
