Liam Watson issues Southport rallying cry ahead of Bath City match

LIAM WATSON has issued his Southport side with a major rallying cry ahead of tomorrow’s showdown with Bath City.

Without a Blue Square Bet Premier win since beating Tamworth at the start of October, the Sandgrounders are second bottom in the table.

Earmarked as a game Port should have won three points from, the visit of Bath to Haig Avenue in November left Watson’s men reeling as the Romans marched away with a 3-2 win.

Two-nil up at half-time, the Yellows suffered an almighty collapse in the second half which still leaves the manager lost for words.

Defeat was followed by two further losses which have seen Southport drop into the relegation zone but Watson says tomorrow afternoon’s trip to Twerton Park is the perfect chance to re-ignite their season.
