MARINE have boosted their preparation ahead of the trip to Stocksbridge Park Steels by swooping for combative midfielder Paul Henry.
Henry, 22, has joined from Evo-Stik Premier Division rivals Northwich Victoria and comes with the experience of 10 years at Tranmere Rovers where he progressed to make three appearances in the first team.
The acquisition of Henry – who spent part of the summer on trial at Southport – is hoping to gain league clearance so eligible to make his Mariners’ debut tomorrow afternoon.
“He is a strong tackling midfielder who has an eye for goal,” said Marine manager Kevin Lynch.
“I am pleased with this signing; he will make an impact and give us that little bit extra in midfield.
“I look forward to him making his debut in what I hope will be the start of a successful career at Marine.”
