TRANMERE’S under-18s could not break the losing habit as they surrendered the Youth Alliance points to Wrexham at Raby Vale.
Rovers were a goal up through an early strike from Max Power but were trailing by the time the same player saw his 84th minute penalty saved by the visiting goalkeeper.
Head of youth Shaun Garnett brought his players in for extra training and a discussion session the following day. Tranmere are bottom of the Alliance table after losing nine out of 14 games this season.
Garnett said: “I would not be so concerned if we were playing well and losing but that’s not the case..”
Tranmere visit Oldham Athletic in a Youth Alliance game on Saturday.
