Just the JOB in LCFA Sunday semi-finals

LCFA Sunday Premier semi-finals had mixed fortunes with JOB coming out on top 3-1 with Chris Higgins (2) and Ross McDowell taking the plaudits in a good win against The Paddock.

But Thirly, 3-0 up with 18 minutes left against Oyster Martyrs, fell apart when Oyster’s scored from the spot and finished losing 4-3.

In the Premier Division Blue Anchor beat Nicosia 2-0 with goals from James Hartley and Dean Harte and Fazakerley surprisingly went nap against Alder with double strikes from Billy O’Callaghan and Will Jones and a Callum Blackhal effort in the 5-1 win.

English Rose got back on track beating Nethy Wood Lane Legion 3-0 with a James Williams hat-trick and Mossley Hill had Gareth Woodall getting both goals in the 2-0 win at St Sebastian’s.

Home & Bargain were 4-1 winners over Obiter with James McNeil, Callum Roberts and Phil Mason (2) on target.

Division One leaders The King Harry (Phil Evans) were being held 1-1 by St Teresa’s (Darryl Adams) and only an injury time winner from Chris Allen gave them a 2-1 win.

BRNESC are on a charge and another Mike Watson effort gave them a 1-0 win at Sefton Earls and new boys Westbury finished 5-2 winners at Star of the Sea, Mike Kendall and John Ford.

Division Two action saw LCFA Junior Cup finalists Aintree Village beating Gears United by the smallest of margins thanks to a Callum Williams effort and Melbourne H&B were also 1-0 winners over Springfield.

Priory Villa (Jason Stephens) and The Breeze Hotel (Jay Askew) finished 1-1 and Woodstreet (Joe Brierley 2, Mark Crawley) just got the better of Halewood Town Athletic, Gary Reynolds (2) to win 3-2.

Heart of the City picked up a point in the 3-3 draw with Quarry Green Res.
