King Harry shock Alder to make it to semi finals of the LBH cup

THERE was the usual surprise result in the LBH quarter final ties this week when The King Harry went through to the semi-finals of the Senior Cup after knocking out Alder.

St Sebastian’s beat Nicosia 3-0 and Fazakerley derailed BRNESC with a 3-0 win.

In the Junior Cup Gears Utd had a good win beating Melbourne H & B and Heart of the City pushed LCFA Junior Cup finalists Aintree Village all the way but goals from Mick Jones and Paul Williams clinched the tie to take Aintree through 2-1.

Springfield beat BRNESC Youth 3-0 and Mags fought hard against HJC Stadium before going down 4-1.

In the Premier Division Mossley Hill were 4-2 and 5-4 down against Blue Anchor, and then drew level at 5-5, but an inspired substitution sent on Paul Wiseman who obliged with a game clinching strike to give Blue Anchor a 6-5 win.

A perfect hat-trick from Paul Mason helped them to a 5-2 win over Nethy Wood Lane Legion.

English Rose lost 3-1 to Obiter.

In Division One Sefton Earls shared the goals around in a lively 6-3 win at St Teresa’s, while Larkspur inflicted a 6-0 drubbing on Pivillion Athletic.

Westbury lost narrowly to Regent, 1-2, and Rice Lane were easy winners at Star of the Sea.

In Division Two Quarry Green Res beat The Breze Hotel 1-0 and in two double header fixtures Woodstreet and Athletic Clubmoor drew the first 1-1 before Woodstreet took the second 1-0.

Halewood Town Athletic won both games against Priory Villa 3-0 and 4-0 with Reynolds on target twice in both games.

It was double headers in all games in Division Three with a Mike Powell hat-trick giving LWV Printworks a 3-0 win over Brookvale only for Chris Balmer to go one better getting four in the 5-0 win.

Greystone and Jacky Mundos drew both games 1-1 and The Pear Tree won both games against Crosskeys 1-0 and 4-0.

Linton won both games against Marsh and Aki’s Bar and W Carol Roofing shared the spoils Akis winning 3-1 and Roofing taking the second game 4-3.
