CROXTETH made sure of being crowned champions of the Liverpool County Premier League first division by beating Roma 3-1.
Michael Rimmer, Bobby Ryan and Andrew Clark scored the goals Croxteth while Dave Cooney – who now has 33 goals – replied for Roma.
In Roma’s final game this weekend Cooney could overtake Lee Peagram of East Villa. who is on 34 and has completed his season.
In the other first division game, Halewood Town and Leyfield played out a 3-3 draw to leave both clubs mid-table (Leyfield seventh and Halewood eighth).
Dave Pugh grabbed a hat-trick for Leyfield whilst Colin Mee scored again for Halewood Town.
In the Premier Division, champions Waterloo Dock signed off with a 4-2 win over relegated Stoneycroft
