IN THE Premier Division, once again there are new leaders, this time Old Xaverians after they beat South Sefton Boro’ 2-0 at home with goals from Ian Gargan and Paul Cross.
Croxteth and still second and Waterloo Dock are still third after they played out a 2-2 draw at Croxteth, Dean Astbury with goal number eight of the season for Croxteth aided by Thomas Rooney.
For the Dock it was Paul Ryder with his second of the season and Thomas Wright.
East Villa go fourth after a comfortable 4-1 away win at ROMA, Dave Cooney with a penalty and goal number four of the season but cancelled out by a Lee Peagram penalty and goal number five plus strikes from Franny McIntosh (also on five goals) and Andy Williams.
Page Celtic are fifth after an easy 2-0 home win over Sacre Coeur FP, James Croxton with a deft header and goal number eight of the season plus a deflected strike from Robert Dillon.
In the bottom of the table clash, REMYCA took all the points in a 3-2 away win at Cheshire Lines, Paul Smith with a brace to move to 10 for the season and REMYCA, Ged Moore and Stuart Cornfoot replying for Cheshire Lines.
Red Rum stay eighth despite beating Warbreck who were unlucky to be beaten by a last gasp goal from the Rum, to win 4-3. Jonathan Swatton hit a brace while Andrew Bailey also netted. For Warbreck, Bruce Crumbleholme and Dave Flynn were on target.
In Division One, Stoneycroft are now four points clear of the chasing pack after a 4-2 away win at Pinewoods, Kevin Moss with a brace aided by Eddie Baker while Pinewoods scored through Martin Wilson.
West Everton Xaviers are creeping up they are now third after a 2-1 away win at high flying Edge Hill, Phil Evans with goal number eight for Edge Hill but it was cancelled out by strikes from McArdle and Jones.
Liverpool North are fourth but have only played six games to date, they beat BRNESC 6-2 to move into the position, Andrews and Harley with braces.
Waterloo GSOB goes seventh after a 5-2 win over Collegiate OB, Dolan with a hat trick aided by Charnley and Cain who moves onto three goals. Collegiate scored through Tonney and Jones.
Copperas Hill goes ninth after a 3-1 away win at NELTC, Jimmy Wiencke with netting and a brace for Chris Doyle.
Lucas Sports and Old Holts played out a 0-0 draw.
Just the two games in Division Two, due to LCFA Junior Cup ties, and Park Brow stay third after a 2-2 draw at home to Kingsley United, Edwards and Pollard with the strikes for Park Brow, Edwards moving to three goals for the season. Kingsley scored through Dixon and Welsh.
Liobians beat Warbreck Res 2-0 to go sixth, strikes from John Harland and Phil Rimmer.
In the LCFA Junior Cup there were mixed results for the league’s representatives. Alder FC were beaten 4-3 by Prescot Leisure, the Johns Boardman and Elias with the goals for Alder.
Allerton fared better beating Knauf, 4-0 with Josh Williams and Shaun Bowden Davies again on the scoresheet for Allerton.
Eli Lilly also progress after a 3-1 home win over Southport Trinity, Paddy McGuirk and Andy Hurst plus an own goal as Lilly move to round three.
Finally Quarry Bank ON are also through after a 4-2 win over Blackbrook, Scott Barr with a brace for Quarry.
In the Youth Division, Dave Hughes Memorial Cup took up most of the games with in Group A Cronus beating The Famous Grapes 4-3 to record their first points in this Cup, Ambrose with his fifth goal of the season for Grapes.
In Group B, Salisbury beat Woolton 4-2 Jack Gray with goal number four for Salisbury plus a hat-trick for Mark Smallbone, for Woolton Jack Walker hit his fifth of the campaign for Woolton.
In the only league game, Mossley Hill beat Holy Cross, 4-1, John Keatley with a brace for Mossley Hill.
