Champions Fazakeley are felled by Liverpool North

LIVERPOOL NORTH take pride of place after beating the champions Fazakerley who fought back hard with Kev Townson (2) and Ged King netting to cancel out a James Hartley effort and a couple from Paul Wiseman to level things at 3-3 in the second half.

Not to be outdone the north dug deep and up popped James Hartley with his second goal to seal a well deserved 4 -3 victory. Larkspur’s goal machine John Driscoll got both goals in the 2-2 draw with The King Harry to keep them on the top spot in the Premier Div and Alder bounced back to winning ways with Liam Caddick and Timmy Naylor sharing the goals in the 4-2 win at Thirly. J O B had Kaz Cole, Jimmy Weincke and Chris Doyle on target to beat English Rose, John McGhee

3 – 1 and St Sebastian’s had Mark Shields and Freddy Potter netting but lost 3-2 at Netherley Wood Lane Legion who had Tom Kato hitting a hat trick.

End to end stuff in the Westbury and Rice Lane who had Miller, Parr and Mahoney on target in Div 1 with Westbury just getting the upper hand with goals from Anthony Eyre, Matt Keane 2 and Carl Benson to take the game 4-3 and Nicosia lost 2-0 to BRNESC as Ste King and Gary McGlinchy sealed the win. A Fran Evans brace and strikes from Carl Brown, Gareth Woodall and Chris Needham gave Mossley Hill the edge against Regent who didn’t succumb easily with Gary Gamble 2 and Tom Kinsella keeping the tension going till the end. Gears Utd , Aaron Daniels and Melbourne H & B, Cam Dalton finished 1-1 and Tom Robinson netted two for Aintree Village but Sefton Earls took the spoils with Phil Pines, 2 pens, Shawn Billington 2 and Craig Kelly giving the a 5-2 win.

Woodstreet beat Athletic Clubmoor 6-0. Greystone produced another Jeckyll and Hyde performance going down 7-0 to The Twelfth Man. Quarry Green won 2-1 over Halewood Town Ath 2-1 and BRNESC Youth beat The Breze Hotel 4-1. Silcocks were too strong for Mags winning 7-0 and Linton Paramount kept the top spot and their unbeaten run in Div 3 after a fine 4-3 win at LWV Printworks.

The Mason’s kept top spot in Div 3 with a 5-0 win over Walton Hall Park but followed closely by Pumptech three points behind with a game in hand kept their run going against A C Croxteth. HJC Stadium had Telfer, Totten, and Kavanagh on target in the 3-0 win over Star of the Sea and Townseys beat Marsh 3-1 . Aki’s bar found themselves on the wrong end of a 4-3 score line against Gateacre Institute but Huyton Athletic gained a good 4-3 win over The Pear Tree.
