Heswall Youth stay top of the Wallasey & District Sunday League Youth Division after beating South Youth

THANKS to goals from Rodrigo Pacheco, Adam Jones and Adam Winstanley, Heswall Youth beat South Youth 3-2 to stay top in the Youth Division of the Wallasey & District Sunday League when beating Stork Youth 3-2.

Upton Youth remain second following their 5-2 defeat of Heswall Athletic, courtesy of goals from Calum Evans (2), Mike Dodd (2) and Nathan Roberts to keep their unbeaten tag.

Also maintaining their undefeated run are Christleton Youth who overcame Ridgewood Rangers 5-1 with Adam Wilson, Sam Burgess and Ben Keable all scoring singles and Lewis Transfield notching a double.

Top scorers of the day were Princes Villa who ran out 8-0 winners against Manor Youth, as Richard Jones fired home four goals and Chris Jones (2), Rees Charrock and Greg Mills added the extras.

A goal apiece from James Dath, Sean Winstanley, Sean Gandy and Josh McLaughlin helped New Brighton Youth to a 4-0 success to show Neston Nomads the way home and keep them in the top four.

The only Premier Division fixture ended with Liscard Bronze sinking Ship FC in a 4-2 victory, but chances were plentiful for both sides and the score could have gone either way.

Kyle Birch netted his usual brace, with Gareth Griffiths claiming the goal of the game and Scott Tebb added the fourth, with Stuart Speed bagging the responses for Ship.

Big House stood tall against Grange Moreton in the Capitol Cup first round and ran out 7-0 winners thanks to Andrew Johnson, Sam Herbert and Perrie Black all netting doubles and captain Jamie Quinn notched a single to complete the rout in this Moreton ‘derby’. Anthony Clarkson bagged a brace of goals to give Birkenhead Vale a 2-1 win over Nags Head.
